History

Established in 2009.

I originally started my practice in Brentwood, CA with a mentor who specialized in Sports Chiropractic. Now I run my own private practice inside the incredible Orthohealing Center. I joined a team of cutting edge physiatrists who are also non-invasive wellness based doctors. My practice is wellness centered, I focus on rehab of sports injuries, chronic pain, and family wellness now that I have a child of my own. I care about each of my patients as if they were an extension of my family.

How mindfulness saved my motherhood. Before I fou How mindfulness saved my motherhood.

Before I found mindfulness and started implementing it into my life, I was all over the place. I am not even sure how I really got anything done because my mind was so scattered all the time.

I had envisioned motherhood so differently, and I couldn't understand why I had this constant heaviness that I just couldn't seem to shift. No matter what I did it just would not get better.

I looked at other Mom's around me who were thriving and I felt like a failure. I felt as though I was not only failing me, but my son too, and I just knew I couldn't continue like that.

I knew I needed to get help.

I started with talk therapy which was great for the most part but I still felt as though there was something missing, so I began exploring spirituality through mindfulness and spiritual healers, which I soon discovered was hugely effective for me.

I found a spiritual healer who explained that trauma and abuse can live in your body and inhabit you from truly healing and recovering, and it all just started to make so much sense to me.

I started to create daily rituals which I now recognize as mindfulness practices and this was when I really started to heal. I could feel myself coming back, and not just to the person I was before, but to a whole new me and it felt amazing!

Mindfulness freed me from negative and unwanted thoughts, it allowed me to be more present with myself and with my son, it helped me understand my worth and helped me create boundaries which were so necessary for me. It helped me focus on the good instead of the bad. It gave me back my life by allowing me to choose myself and my health above all else!

I know that I wouldn't be where I am today had I not found mindfulness and I am so grateful that I am now able to use my experience to help others 💜

Looking back, I honestly can't believe how much ha Looking back, I honestly can't believe how much has changed.

I genuinely feel as though mindfulness is something we should be taught from a young age.

It completely transformed the way I saw myself and everything around me, and it helped me to overcome things I thought I never would.

Mindfulness helped me to understand where my pain was coming from and not only that, but how to deal with it in a healthy way.

I remember the moment I started to feel lighter, the moment I started coming back to myself. I was so happy. I couldn't believe that the heaviness I had felt for so long was starting to shift. It was the best feeling ever.

Mindfulness completely changed my life and I really want to use my experience to help others. If you are feeling lost, alone, confused, and/or in pain, please know that it will get easier! No feeling is permanent!

I decided to create a course to help others in similar situations. In my course 'Unstuck' which is launching very soon, you will find each and every step that helped me through what I can only describe as the darkest time of my life 💗

Having these big emotions at such a young age wasn Having these big emotions at such a young age wasn't easy.

I was often told to not show them, and I was never taught how to process them properly.

Suppressing emotions at such a young age is so damaging to our overall well being.

Emotions are NOT bad behavior, yet I am sure many of you, just like me, were punished or criticized when crying, frustrated, or when you were angry about something.

Even from when we are babies we are told to "shhh" if crying, and although it's often done in a soothing way, we are still told to quiet our emotions without understanding the reason why we are so emotional in the first place.

We are never emotional for no reason. There is always a reason why.

Suppressed emotions stay in the body and can show up later in life as anxiety, depression, and other stress-related illnesses, as well as physical issues.

Learning how to deal with your emotions in a healthy way is such an important part of healing, whether it be emotional, mental, or physical healing.

I know it can be really difficult to know where to start when it comes to this sort of healing, which is why I have created my course 'Unstuck' (launching very soon!). The course will help guide you through this exact work, helping to alleviate any internal stress which could be causing emotional or physical pain or blocks 💜

What you see on the outside is not always what is What you see on the outside is not always what is going on internally.

Have you ever heard of smiling depression? It's when you are feeling depressed or anxious inside but you appear happy on the outside.

This often leads back to suppressing emotions at a young age.

Maybe you were yelled at or made to feel bad when feeling any type of big emotion. You were never taught how to express them in a healthy way, so now you have all of these feelings inside but you are too scared to express yourself in fear of how others may react to you.

When I was at my worst nobody knew because I hid it so well.

From the outside I looked like someone who was healthy, happy, and thriving, but internally I was feeling so lost and broken.

It was such a struggle to get from one day to the next.

Keeping up appearances is exhausting in itself and it got to a point where I just couldn't do it anymore.

I knew I had to deal with what was going on inside of me because it was hugely affecting my life.

The problem is if you don't deal with your emotions in the moment, they build up inside of you, and end up coming out as mental or physical illness. Or worse, random, unexpected explosions of rage, anger or other aggressive outbursts.

It doesn't matter what age you are or how much you have been through, you CAN work through anything that has happened in your past.

I chose to heal. I made that decision one day that enough was enough, and that's not to say I never have bad days, of course I do, I am human, but I now know how to regulate my emotions so that I never get to that point again. I also understand how I am feeling, which is something new for me.

So this is your reminder, check on your friends and family, because even though they seem fine on the outside they might be struggling, and having that safe space and someone to talk to can honestly save someone’s life 💜

I was a new Mom (also suffering with postpartum de I was a new Mom (also suffering with postpartum depression, which I didn't realize at the time), I had an abusive partner, I was struggling to understand my place in the world, and I just felt so alone.

I had been feeling like this for a long time but I felt so powerless.

It got to a point where I was having suicidal thoughts and I just knew I had to do something. I couldn't continue like this. My son deserved more. I deserved more, so I finally decided to take responsibility for where I was at.

The first thing I did was tell my best friend who came immediately and supported me through the next stages.

Ultimately, I got a divorce and I started therapy, and while talk therapy was an essential part of my healing I still felt as though there was something missing.

That was when I found mindfulness and spirituality.

I embarked on this journey and threw my all into it and it was only then I truly started coming back to the person I knew I was.

By using the tools and practices I teach in my course I was able to learn things about myself I never knew. I was able to take back control of my mind, and learn strategies to prevent me from falling into that hole again.

When I say mindfulness saved my life I really do mean it. I do not know where I would be today without it.

I am so grateful that I found it when I did and everything it has done for me. I still use everything I learned in my daily life.

I don't think many people realize how powerful our minds actually are, or how impactful mindfulness can be in our lives. I think people often have a resistance to it because there is a bit of a stigma around it, but if you can get past that you will see how transformational it really can be 💜
