History

Established in 2009.

I originally started my practice in Brentwood, CA with a mentor who specialized in Sports Chiropractic. Now I run my own private practice inside the incredible Orthohealing Center. I joined a team of cutting edge physiatrists who are also non-invasive wellness based doctors. My practice is wellness centered, I focus on rehab of sports injuries, chronic pain, and family wellness now that I have a child of my own. I care about each of my patients as if they were an extension of my family.

I love this message. I think a lot of us were prog I love this message. I think a lot of us were programmed to just suck it up and deal with the cards we were given, or to be tough and stick with family or endure an unhealthy or abusive situation. Or to even just do something that doesn’t align with you at any moment.

I was a bit of a people pleaser, I always really wanted people to like me. But I had to learn very hard lessons that putting everyone else before you and doing what everyone else wants can make you lose yourself and hold a lot of resentment. And the outcomes are usually the same, the people that truly love you, and are there for you will stick around and compromise with you, and the ones that aren’t getting what they need will move on. And that’s OK. But at least when you are showing yourself self-love, self-respect and honoring what your trauma and triggers can do to you, you will be loving yourself and attracting others that share those values.

If you experience any of these symptoms, you may h If you experience any of these symptoms, you may have unresolved trauma, or this could be one of the reasons why you suffer from Chronic Pain.

The past few years have been a trying time for many and a lot of things may have surfaced that were previously suppressed.

Life was busy before so it was a lot easier to ignore what could be lying within us. But when forced to slow down it can be a lot harder to avoid what could be brewing inside of us.

If you feel as though you have unhealed trauma that you would like to start working through but are not sure where to start, here are my top 5 things that you can do:

1. Mindful movement - movement provides your body with feel-good chemicals. Walking, in silence especially, is a great way to connect with your body and mind, and really gives you the opportunity to process your emotions and feelings.

2. Meditation - we often live in the past or future but meditation brings you back to the present moment. Being aware of the present moment has been found to decrease stress because you have more control over your thoughts.

3. Breathwork - deep focused breathing can help you deal with stress. How we breath often indicates how we are feeling, and when you take control of your breath it gives you the opportunity to move trapped emotions.

4. Journaling - writing things down can help free your mind from thoughts and help you understand why you are feeling a certain way. It can bring clarity to situations and help to release blocked energy.

5. Talking to someone you trust - whether you are talking to someone to be seen, or for solutions, either way talking helps you feel less isolated and alone. It can help make sense of situations and helps to release trauma from the mind and body.

How can the hips and the adrenal glands be connect How can the hips and the adrenal glands be connected? Well the hips are one of our primary stabilizers and literally help hold our bodies upright. When we are stressed or in a “fight or flight” state, we can freeze up, clench our muscles and our hearts race. When this frequently happens, it exhausts our adrenal glands which can make us feel tired, jittery, erratically sleep, have excessive thirst or food cravings, and you tend to crash earlier in the day. The adrenal glands rest on top of the kidneys, which is just below your lower ribs and can affect the hips and pelvis as well.

Getting into this child’s pose with your forearms flat on the floor in front of you while rocking can help stretch your lower body and hips to help encourage not only a muscular release but also an emotional or trauma release as well. By rocking, you allow the body to loosen and feel safe and it’s easier to release chronic tension, emotions and energy from the physical body.

Try it out and see how it feels! Comment below if you’ve ever done this before or suffer from the symptoms I mentioned above 🙂

Did you know that emotional health is linked to ph Did you know that emotional health is linked to physical health?

Here are some common emotions and where they present in the body.

When you are aware of where in the body we feel emotions it becomes easier to focus the healing. For example, if you know where the emotion is, you can locate where you can massage, stretch etc, to help release the emotion, trauma or source of pain.

If you are struggling to locate where the pain is in your body download my FREE 5 minute body scan meditation (link is in my bio). It will guide you through a full body scan which will help you identify what you are feeling where 💜

Our brains process around 70,000 thoughts per day, Our brains process around 70,000 thoughts per day, and about 80% of them are negative!

We can’t always stop the thoughts but we can control how we respond to them.

These tips will help you to process those thoughts and to rationalize whatever is going on in your head.

Sometimes just releasing the thoughts, whether it be through writing or speaking, is enough to make you feel instantly lighter!
